Here, we demonstrate how one would be able to use the PA Update database as a starting point for enquiries into and studies on wildlife and media reporting.

We have presented thematic analysis of news reports on wildlife and protected areas in Maharashtra and similarly in Karnataka published in PA Update over the years, and an interactive timeline of contemporary conservation history of Great Nicobar Island. We hope to add more case studies in future.
